Early in 08/2008 I had launched a web site at www.cmrenterprises.net, this site was designed to help budding entrepreneurs with information and opportunity, as affiliate marketers or almost any type home based business they may want to pursue.
The site was doing fine at first until one day I had noticed the hits were fine but click thru rates were way down, so after a little research I discovered a new or maybe not so new ripoff, called URL hijacking, what this is from what I understand, is where an individual replaces your affiliate link with there own, how this is done I'm not exactly sure, but I do know it has all but destroyed my site.
This site was doing between $300 and $500 per week, now it's less than half, but the traffic is still what it was a month ago.
This is not only damaging to me but it is literally taking the food from my baby's mouth. You may want to consider this a warning of sorts, you must be diligent, watch your sites if you're in the affiliate marketing business, this ripoff can cost you $1000s per month in revenue. I at this time am not sure how to stop the hijacking but as soon as I find out I will update this blog.
If anyone has any suggestions in regards to this please feel free to reply to this blog or contact me at my private e-mail at mrapholtz@aol.com.
Thanks in advance'
